Slazeneger Heritage Coming Soon To Not Addicted

We've got the new Slazenger Heritage range due in the next few weeks and its looking just as good as it did back in the day. The move on with it is the v neck jumpers are now made from soft lambswool rather than the acrylic they used back in the 70 & 80s so they're much nicer to wear.

The range comprises of V Neck Jumpers, Cardigans, Knitted Roll Necks, Polo Shirts and that iconic Tracksuit Top Damon Albarn wore in the Parklife video.......what you thought that was fila???????? Thats alot of peoples misconception of the track top but it is definitely 100% salzo!!!!!

Im sure alot of the older boys will remember Slazenger from back in the 80s when many of the lads would be stood on the station platform early doors on saturday shivering in just his Slazenger V Neck Jumper but the cold didnt bother him as he looked the part!!!!!

Slazenger Jumpers have also cropped up on the backs of James Bond and Bing Crosby and probably most famously being worn for what it was originally made for by Seve Ballesteros.

Baracuta Jackets have been around since 1937 when they were made in Chorlton Street, Manchester. They were the first ever Harrington Jacket made and have always been appreciated by those who know style and quality.

Since writing the blog on Friday about the latest Penfield collection and the reference to Oasis we thought it was about time to let you into a secret we've been sitting on for 6 months!!! Penfield have reissued the exact jacket that Noel Gallagher wore at the now legendary gig at Maine Road in 1996 and it's due to land with us anytime now. Don't hang around when we get them on the site as they are very limited and dont expect them to be here for long.

The two tone overhead style jacket is released to celebrate the 35th Anniversary of Penfield. Along with this jacket there's plenty other Penfield clothing due in stock including some stunning jackets, shirts, t shirts and accessories.

London Calling!!!!

We've just got back from a couple of days down the smoke looking at the collections for Autumn/Winter and it's all looking good!!!!

Yesterday we saw Edwin Jeans and they we're showing some great denims in various cuts and great value for money. Under the same roof was Pointer Footwear and as you'd expect was bang on with the odd new style in the collection and some of the classics 'cleaned up' a bit for a fresher look.

We pulled Garbstore, Velour and Farah Vintage all in togther and none of them failed to impress with great stand out pieces in all 3 collections!!!

A new brand we saw which everyone in the know down there was talking about was Lavenham. They make quilted jackets and make them better than anyone else, there's some belters in the collection and a bit more than the basic quilt. With Lavenham you're also getting a bit of history, they made the first ever quilted rug in 1969 and today all their jackets are made in England. If you want a quilted jacket and want to be a bit different from 50% of the UK in their Barbours, Lavenham is the jacket for you!!!

Today we went to see one if our favourite brands who we've had on board from the very early days and they just get better every time we see them. It's the classic American outerwear label Penfield. In the collection was some of the ever popular jackets they do every year and some new ones in there. There was also great shirting, knits and accessories, these boys have developed their range a bit since that Gallagher fella wore that stunning jacket at main road in 96!!!

We didnt have time to go to the zoo or see her majesty but we're back down there for the day next thursday so might be able to squeeze it in then!!!!!!

Fancy A Bit Of History with a Fila Vintage Track Top????

Tracksuit tops have been around for years now it's a simple piece of clothing worn for sport or fashion. One of the most recognised at the minute as a casual fashion item of clothing is a Fila Vintage track top mostly teamed up with a nice pair of jeans.

Fila have been making tracksuit tops and other clothing since 1911 so they've had years of experience. Although initially their clothing was made to be worn for sport it has now been re-issued as Fila Vintage and is now considered fashion clothing. In the 80s Bjorn Borg wore Fila clothing on court coming out the now legendary BJ Tracksuit top which he'd removed to reveal a stylish polo shirt teamed up with classic tennis shorts. This clothing was soon adopted as a look by young casuals around the country, they'd wear a Fila Vintage Tracksuit Top with their jeans and rare European trainers.

20 years later and Fila Vintage clothing featured heavily in the Nick Loves film, The Business, with Danny Dyer and Tamer Hassan wearing track tops, polos and shorts by Fila in most scenes. Now in 2009 Nick Loves remake of The Firm is again packed with vintage clothing and Fila being one of the main players, its cool retro style Tracksuit tops were worn by young casuals going to the match throughout the film.

Back in the 80s lads would go all over Europe to buy or rob fila tracksuit tops but now its much more simple to get one as they are available to buy online.
