It’s pretty ironic that in the early days of the brand Havaianas Flip Flops were known as ‘chinelos de pobre’ which translates to ‘poor mans flip flops’ but by the 90s the upper class Brazilians had started to favour the brand and it soon caught on around the world and snowballed into what the brand has become today.
