Slazeneger was founded in 1881 by Ralph Slazenger so with well over 100 years in the game Slazenger are already a heritage brand. They are a very well recognised brand in all fields of sport and have been for many years and produced equipment and clothing for tennis, football cricket, table tennis, badminton, squash, even motor racing , the list is endless. They became the official tennis ball sponsor of Wimbledon in 1902 and were the official ball sponsor of the 1966 World Cup when England were victorious.
Away from the involvement in sports participation Slazenger became popular as a fashion brand during the 70s and 80s, this was down to the casual scene where smart lads would get dressed up in their best togs on a Saturday to go to the match and Slazenger became a firm favourite with them and they’d regularly team up a Slazenger V Neck Knit Jumper up with their straight leg jeans and pair of adidas trainers.
20 odd years later from Slazenger being popular with the trendy dressers sees the launch of Slazenger Heritage Gold which is a range of polo shirts, jumpers, cardigans, roll necks, track tops and any other of the old favourites from the Slazenger Heritage archive.
