YMC started out in 1995 by Jimmy Collins and Fraser Moss as they’d seen a demand for functional, stylish and wearable clothing for modern people and it all began from there in London.
YMC are not a brand that follows trends and produce seasonal collections which are high in fashion, most of their styles are classic looking pieces which can be worn year after year without losing any appeal, the saying ‘Fashion fades only style remains’ is very apt for YMC .
Every season the YMC collection gradually develops but will always maintain a modernist approach and the collection will include Jackets, Shirts, Jumpers, T Shirts, Trousers, Polo Shirts and other classic pieces of clothing that can be easily worn by anyone who has an eye for style and detail but doesn’t want in your face fashion clothing worn by the masses.
YMC actually stand for You Must Create which are the words of Raymond Loewry a graphical designer from the USA who’s philosophy was ‘you must create your own design style’. Those words stuck with Collins and Moss and all the clothing they produce adhere to them.
