Formed in the mid 70's. Queen will always be remembered for their enigmatic front man, Freddie Mercury. He used his impressive vocal range and skills on piano, keyboard and guitar to write the majority of the band's material. By the 80's they had established themselves as huge stadium performers, playing larger venues than any band before. Freddie sadly dies in 1991 of AIDS, having release his final curtain call album Innuendo, a truly extraordinary recording that confirmed his importance as a rock legend.
